Mental Health Awareness Night

Knowing how to access mental health resources and supporting those dealing with mental health challenges has never been more important. Whether it’s a global pandemic, loss of a loved one, effects of an addiction or an unexpected change in careers, a person’s mental health can change quickly and impact all areas of his or her life. Connecting a person with the right resources can literally be life-changing and even lifesaving.

For the past 12 years, Intermountain Healthcare’s Annual Mental Health Services Awareness Night has connected people with resources. The event has been open to anyone in Utah who would like to know more about the resources available to those struggling with mental health challenges.

This year, we are happy to partner with the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, Utah Valley University, United Way, Blunovus and Encircle to expand this free workshop and offer more information and resources. The event – known as the Mental Health Services Awareness Summit – will be offered online and in person.

3 to 8:30 p.m.
Utah Valley University – Clarke Building or join online
No cost to attend or participate online

Keynote speakers and educational classes for the event include:

  • Opening keynote – Christena Huntsman Durham and Mark H. Rapaport, MD – “The Stigma of Mental Health”
  • Class – Presented by United Way of Utah County – “Everyday Strong: Create a Plan for Your Child’s Back-to-School Anxieties” (will be presented 2 times)
  • Class – Presented by Encircle – “The Role of Diversity and Inclusion in Mental Health: What the LGBTQ+ Community Can Teach Us” (will be presented 2 times)
  • Class – Presented by Blunovus – “How Leaders and Companies Will Win In A New Normal A Panel Discussion/Q&A on Leadership, Mental Health, and Remote Work” (will be presented 2 times)
  • Closing keynote – Dr. G. Sheldon Martin – “Managing Mental Wellness: Prevention, Intervention, Healing”
