The Wasatch County Health Department seeks part-time to full-time, time-limited, grant-funded Community Health Workers with a preference for fluency in Spanish and English. These positions are funded until December 31, 2021. Continued funding past the December 31st date is contingent on continued grant funding.
Compensation ranges on education and experience from $18.00 -$20.00 per hour. The positions work as frontline public health workers who work closely with the community and are able to promote social resources, facilitate access to services, and improve the quality of cultural competence of service delivery.
- Community Health Workers must maintain a working knowledge of state, county, and local resources available to community members.
- Collect and compile information related to available resources.
- Preference for fluency in Spanish and English (Fluency defined as proficiency level in both languages as evidenced by the ability to verbally interpret from English-to-Spanish as well as the ability to translate written documents from English-to-Spanish and from Spanish-to-English.
- Preference further considered for previous health care experience.
- Requires equivalent to a high school diploma and computer literacy using internet based computer programs and software.
